About the Survivor Support Series
The failure of people in power to hold pedophiles accountable...
The rampant headlines and social media coverage shedding light on certain files...
Survivors sharing their stories and seeking accountability and support...
Overwhelming, I know. If you are an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse, you are probably feeling rage, grief, hopelessness, numbness or any other debilitating emotion. You might be experiencing flashbacks or have new memories resurfacing. You might also be feeling isolated or disconnected from avoiding social media or the news to help manage your sanity.
You are not alone. I created this support series for you, for us.
The Details
Join a 5-week hybrid healing series for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, held with care by Grief Coach and fellow survivor, Jen Venegas. Together, we’ll explore creative expression, somatic nature practices, grief tending, and
support mapping, reflecting, sharing, and honoring the tender connections we build in community.
Each week, we will practice different healing modalities together, to witness each other and get comfortable speaking and sharing our truths. You can attend in-person or from anywhere in the world via Zoom. We are centering accessibility and trauma-informed care in our time together.
Additionally, to prioritize and protect the majority of survivors, this group will be closed to straight cis men. I understand that childhood sexual abusers do not discriminate based on gender nor are straight cis men the only pedophiles. Demographically, however, straight cis men are the majority of many type of abusers, including childhood sexual assault. At this time, I am unable to offer straight cis men who are adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse support in this series. If you fall under this umbrella, fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page and, at no charge to you, I will send you the digital support resource packet we will be using in the series. I also encourage you to donate to help support the series if you are able.

Meet Jen Venegas
Hello and thank you for being here.
I am a queer mestize Latine who uses they/them/elle pronouns. I am a death doula and grief coach, among other things, and I facilitate monthly grief circles at Underdog Bookstore and virtually at the San Gabriel Valley LGBTQ Center. Grief work is deeply embedded into my core values and the work I do in community.
I am also a CSA survivor. I organized this support series for community because I have not seen a lot of support for survivors who are witnessing what is going on with certain files (I refuse to say his name) and the trafficking ring in the news and on social media.
I started EMDR therapy again because I was having flashbacks of my childhood sexual abuse. I also cannot be on social media very often - my algorithm is community and leftist centered, so many people are asking for accountability, making memes, sharing survivor stories or facts about what's going on. This is important and I am glad folks are doing this work but it has also been highly triggering as a survivor.
In a recent 1:1 therapy session, while I was expressing deep rage, my therapist asked me what I wanted to do about it. And immediately, the idea for this survivor support series was born. I am honored to facilitate this series for us. Thank you again for joining me. ♥
