I honor their enduring connection to this land, their culture, and their contributions to our community. I recognize the ongoing impact of colonization and commit to supporting Indigenous sovereignty and the rights of all Indigenous peoples. As I move forward, I strive to foster a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the Tongva and to work towards reconciliation.
